How do I book DJ ShadowAnt for my event?

Booking starts with a quick inquiry form or consultation. Once we confirm availability, we’ll review your event details, secure the date with a signed agreement and invoice, where I’ll then collect your deposit. Final payment is due two weeks prior to your event date.

When should we book?

We recommend booking between 6–12 months in advance for weddings to secure your date. Occasionally willing to do last-minute request. Corporate and private party dates can sometimes be booked closer to the event, but popular dates still go fast.

Do you travel for events?

Yes! Travel within 130 miles of Brier Creek, Raleigh, NC. Events outside this core radius will incur a standard mileage fee of $0.67/mile. We’ll outline this clearly in your quote.

What events do you DJ?

We DJ weddings, corporate events, private parties, birthdays, anniversaries, engagement celebrations, holiday parties, and more. All with customized music direction, professional sound and equipment.

Do you offer MC or host services?

Yes! Professional MC services are available to guide your event timeline, coordinate introductions, and keep energy flowing. MC support can be included or added to any package.

Can you DJ ceremony and reception music?

Yes. We offer dedicated ceremony audio setups that include professional sound, lapel microphones, and wireless handheld microphones to make sure your vows and readings are heard clearly.

Music, Requests & Custom Mixes

Can I request specific songs or genres?

Absolutely! You’ll have the opportunity to share must-play, do-not-play, and vibe preferences during planning through an app. We often use playlists and online planning tools to collect your input. There are also custom mashup and song edit add-ons available.

What are Custom Song Edits?

Custom Song Edits tailor selected tracks for your event. Shortened or extended versions, clean transitions, or edits for timing with entrances or dances. Makes the moment unique!

What are Custom Mashups?

Custom Mashups combine 3–4 songs into one seamless track for standout moments like first dances, bridal party entrances, or high-energy segments.

Production, Mixes & Extras

What’s included with Non-Mixed Compilations?

These are carefully curated playlists (2 hours) designed for cocktail hours, ceremony seating, guest arrival, or background music; personalized to your tastes. Smooth transitions like, but not over mixed. As if the DJ was on site.

What are Custom Dance Mixes?

These are 45-minute mixes designed to feel like a live DJ set. This is excellent for band breaks, extended dance sets, or moments that need continuous momentum. As if the DJ was on site.

Do you offer multiple custom mixes?

Yes, we offer bundles of custom 45-minute mixes (up to 3) to give your event versatility and consistency in music flow.

Equipment & Rentals

Do you provide sound equipment rentals without a DJ?

Yes! Our professional sound rental includes concert-grade speakers, a mixer, wireless handheld microphones, and lapel microphones. Rentals are ideal for ceremonies, presentations, and speaking events. Signed rental agreement and photo of driver’s license required.

Do you offer lighting or special effects?

Yes, uplighting, dance floor lighting, and other enhancements are available to elevate your event atmosphere.

Pricing & Packages

What experience do you Have as a DJ?

DJ ShadowAnt is an experienced professional with a few years of event expertise. No training wheels or first-ever sets over here. Each event is treated with rehearsal, planning, and professionalism.

Will you take requests from guests?

Yes, and we also take lead from your preferences and plan. Requests are always curated to fit the flow and energy of your event. For weddings, I leave it up to the groom and bride. For corporate events, I’ll work with the organizer of the event to confirm.

Can we meet before the event?

Yes! Pre-event consultations are encouraged, either in person or virtual, to lock in details and eliminate last-minute stress. A free consultation is included with all packages. Unlimited meetings in our Gold and Platinum packages.
